It’s week 39 and still no baby.  He’s taking his sweet time.  I haven’t felt any contractions yet, that I know of.  I’m getting to the point that I wish I could put my shoes on without him in the way.  My last Dr.’s appointment was fine.  I gained 2 pounds and my belly is at 38 cm.  I had to go to the hospital to do a non-stress test because I wasn’t feeling the baby move very much.  Everything turned out fine.  Baby was fine, fluid around the baby is fine, and I was fine. 

Eric and I are getting the house ready this week.  Cleaning like we’ve never cleaned before.  I"m not allowed to do too much but I get frustrated and do more than I probably should.  I’ve got my baby bag packed and I’m still getting mine packed.  I’m so ready to be done.  I’m just not thrilled about the pain.    Oh well, it won’t last forever.

        Well, we only have 3 weeks, or less, left. Dr says everything is going fine. I’m 3 almost 4 cm, 50% effaced, and belly measures 35 cm. I am at 222 lbs. I haven’t been feeling any contractions yet, that I know of. I have been feeling pressure. Last night I might have felt something but they went away and didn’t last, so I don’t know what that was about. I hope I get to 6 cm without pain and only just pressure. (Yeah right! I just jinxed myself.)

        I’m sleeping really hard at night then take hot humid naps in the afternoon. The humidity of the monsoon is driving me nuts. I try not to be out in the sun unless I have to, and do all my walking at night once it’s cool.

        The baby is head down, like he has been for 6 or 8 weeks now. He’s facing the left and has fun kicking and punching me on the left. The really cool thing is that I can feel when he is opening and closing his fists and scrunching his feet. That started about a week ago. It’s really cool. It’s like he’s trying to hold my hand but can’t because of the tummy.

        The baby shower was a week and a half ago and was great. We had a good time. It was a skateboarder theme. We had fun games and the cake was great. I loved it. We got a lot of great things. I’ll have to get Eric to get the pictures up so you can see them. The baby is going to be so stylin’.

        This weekend is going to be a busy one. We’ve got to get the house ready for Johnny when he decides to arrive. Eric is getting a little nervous, I think. He is always asking if I’m ok and making sure I’m not walking or lifting too much. I hate not being able to clean the room without getting hurt or strained. I’m used to just deciding to do then do it. Oh well.

        I’m off to cool off in front of the fan. Later.
