Sorry it’s been so long with updates. I’ve been busy doing this mom thing.

Johnny is learning new things. He just started putting sounds together to make dada.  He’s starting to balance on his hands an knees. Anytime now he’ll be crawling. His hair is long and lighter. The doctor still thinks he is underweight for his height. I think it’s crazy. His dad is skinny and his cousin is skinny, I think he is going to be skinny. Ha is eating 4 times a day. He has 2 jars meals, one in the morning and one before bed, and eats 4 bottles a day. We now have to see the doctor once a month to monitor his weight. He is in the 95% in height for his age, 15-20% in weight for his height, and he is the 50% range for his head circumference. He stood up next to his baby cousin, who is 5 months older, and she is only about and inch taller than he is.

I’m doing good. I have my moments throughout the month but other than that I’m good. Eric bought himself a VW bug for his birthday. It’s cool. It’s orange and fast. He has fun driving it.

Johnny got his picture taken with Santa.  Check it out in the gallery.  He’s cute.

    Johnny is now four months old.  He is doing great.  Here are the stats from the Dr.  He weighs 14.6 lbs.,  which is in the 30% range for his age.  (Low for his age.)  He is 26.75 inches tall, which is in the 90% range.  (Way above average.  Have you seen his Daddy?)  His head is 16.5 inches a round, which is in the 50% range.  (Normal, yeah right!)  We can start him on oatmeal with apple juice.  He might have reflux, which is common, so we have to give him baby reflux meds.  He is getting teeth, one on bottom and one on top.   He is very vocal now but still only cries when he needs something, not very often.  We all have been sleeping through the night, from 11pm to about 9am.

    I’m doing good.  I get stir crazy sometimes but it’s not so bad.  I need to start taking one day on the weekend for myself, for me and so Eric and Johnny bond.  I turned 28 on the 5th. Whoo-hoo!  I’m going to Red Lobster next week.  I’m craving seafood for some reason.

    Johnny was a monkey for Halloween. He looked great. Slept the whole time we were trick or treating. We had a great time. My great niece handed out candy.

    We took Johnny to the Desert Museum on Sunday. He did good. Fell asleep half way through. He liked touching the leaves of the plants and looking at the glowing signs in the reptile house.

    He’s starting to turn over, from belly to back, more and more. He’s awake most of the day now. Takes his nap any where from noon to 2 and sleeps for a couple of hours. He eats 8 oz. 4 times in a 24 hour period. He sits up while leaning on something. He stands but I have to hold him. He’s doing great.

    Well, I had my gallbladder removed on the 15th of last month.  As a result of not being able to breastfeed or pump effectively, we had to switch to formula.  It really sucks but I ended up so engorged that it hurt even to pump.  Johnny seems to be doing just fine on formula minus the constipation.  Johnny has a Dr.’s appointment on Friday, his 2nd month birthday.

    My Dr. gave me a clean bill of health.  I’m on birth control so that we have some time between babies.  I weigh 208 lbs.  20 lbs. less than when I started!  I get visitors more than ever which is cool.  Well, they aren’t actually coming to see me, are they?  Who can blame them, Johnny is a cutie!

The Collins Family

My soon to be ex-brother-in-law has been arrested for child molestation by his first family.  He was let out on bond that same day.  I knew from the first time I met him that he was a creepy freak.  My sister and him have a son and currently have a 3 day split in the custody of him.  My sister doesn’t feel that her son should be alone and unsupervised with him.  She refused to give him to his dad the other day even though it was the start of his 3 days with his son.  He called the police and said that my sister was in contempt of court.  My sister showed the officer that her lawyer had filed an emergancy change to the custody orders.  The officer said that was fine and told her that she didn’t have to give him to his dad.  Everything went smooth for a week until my sister went to pick up my nephew from school.  She got there and he was gone.  His dad came into the school, had them call his son out of class early, and ran from the school with my nephew.  He ran out of a school with a child and no one tried to stop him?  What’s wrong with that picture?  Anyway, he had him for 3 days then dropped him off with my sister.  She had him for her 3 days then dropped him back off with his dad.  And that is where it stands now.

Here’s the rant:

What gets me is that this government is so concerned with the safety of Americas children that an accused child molester is allowed to be alone with children and NO ONE can do anything. I know deep in my heart that this creep did what he is being charged with. Why is there nothing protecting children from crap like this?! This child is in his early years of school and an accused child molester can walk into a school with unsuspecting children and parents and take a child. The school was notified by my sister,in writing, that he was charged with this crime but was told by the school that they would need a court order to do anything.  That school knew about it and let him walk right into a school with young kids!!  If I had a child at that school and found out that he was in there I would be pissed.  I would much rather have him not be around kids until the end of his trial and if found innocent then let him be around kids. But why put those other kids at risk if he is found guilty? What ever happened to protecting children at all costs? Where is the voice for these kids? Who is at fault when something happens to my nephew in his custody during a court ordered visit when it could have been avoided if he were to be ordered to stay away from children? Who’s going to pay for all the counseling and therapy this child already has to go through due to his dad being a beater, womanizer, and a manipulator? No wonder the US is going to hell in a hand basket. Don’t get me wrong, I Love Being An American, I just think the direction we are headed is a bad one when we can’t protect our own children from evil.

Today is the day that American’s celebrate the supposed friendship to the Native Americans so that they could snatch our land out from under us. Hooray! But seriously folks, Happy Thanksgiving! Drive safe and don’t eat all the food!
